When I clicked on the link at the top of post #1, I got an error. But when I tried the long way (double-click on mIRC, /server jade.va.us.dal.net, OK my login, select channel #gtbn) it all worked OK. Any idea why clicking the link didn't work? Do I need to do something to tell XP or IE that 'mIRC' is the app for "irc://..." ? ta, p2 (PS. In case you're wondering why I ask this now, after being a regular user for months, it's because I'm starting over from scratch with a blank hard drive.) My new job gives me about 3 hours each evening (6-9 BT) of surfing, but I can't load MIRC on any of the four community PC's I'm surfing on.  Maybe when we get a chatroom that doesn't require extra software... Is that coming with the new board software?  IP: Logged |

I'm on mesra.kl.my.dal.net, port is 6668 at the moment. I've been seeing people pop on and off at times (usually GT3mich or Recycler), but it's almost always while I'm either sleeping or away from the computer.
