GTBN T-Shirts are now available.

I will NOT be "selling" these.

They are free when you make a monetary donation of a certain amount towards the costs of maintaining the operation of The Numbers.

For orders mailed to addresses inside the U.S., you get one T-Shirt with a $20 donation, or 2 shirts with a $35 donation.

For orders mailed outside the U.S. but within North America, you get 1 for a $22 donation, or 2 for a $37 donation.

For orders mailed to addresses not in the U.S. and offshore, you get 1 for a $24 donation, or 2 for a $40 donation.

All Dollar amounts are U.S. funds, and all shipping costs are included.

Hopefully we will meet some or all of three objectives:

1: Reclaim the costs of making the shirts.

2: Receive enough above those costs to upgrade to the current version of UBB.

3: Receive enough above those costs cover a year's worth of FutureQuest web host costs, when I would be more than happy to spend the UBB upgrade costs out of my own pocket.

I have yet to work out the details with PayPal, but that MAY be an option for payment in the near future.
For now, if you would like to donate and get a free shirt or two, please e-mail me at gb24hours@granturismobynumbers.com and tell me of your intent. Specify Men's sizes, M, L, XL, XXL. Please include your real name as well as your board nickname.
I will then e-mail the address to send the funds via money order, cashier's check, or personal check. I recommend against sending cash. If you use a personal check, there may be a delay.
Be sure to send me the address that you wish the items to be shipped to, and the contact name.
All items will be shipped via the U.S. Postal Service.

I would like to thank everyone for making this board what it is, and hope that you like these shirts.

Please do not feel obligated in any way to send me money. The board is in no danger of being shut down due to lack of funds..... I just thought this might be something we could all benefit from.

Outstanding! Count me in!

Glenn, about PayPal; you can set it up to accept credit cards through them, but PayPal will charge you about 5% of the donated funds. I don't know if you would want to factor this in, but it's a consideration.

another question.......arethese limited edition, or will you order more on a demand basis? I'd love one now, but in the future, me or my buddies may want a few more. Just a question, i guess

Hurrah! The shirts are ready - where's my cheque book ... what! ... EMPTY!!! .

Looks like I'll have to wait a bit, Glenn, until my bank gets it's act together and sends me another book.

By the way, I know we talked about it during the V2 Championships but, once the donations are complete for these, is there any chance of getting some made up with the Team Numbers logo on them? I was proud to have taken part (even tho' I didn't do very well) and would love to have something to commemorate the occaision.

You'd be donating to the board, and you'd get a free shirt!

Nope, not too late. Send to the same address I e-mailed you concerning the LeMans car sponsorship thing.

Bump.

The talk of Kenji's financial burdens keeping GTF going reminded me of GB's "make donation to Numbers, get a T-shirt" thread. Maybe there are people who missed it the first time around that might be interested.

(I'm assuming you stil have shirts available GB?)

Hey GB - two things:

1) What size would you suggest for someone of medium build, 5'7" and 160 lbs. (namely, ME)

2) If money were not an issue, would you be interested at all in potentially upgrading/converting the forum to VBulletin? (opens in new window) I've got this idea I've been kicking around in my head, and I wanted to know what you thought about it. You can reply here or e-mail me at redline652 at yahoo dot com , whichever you prefer.

1. I would say a Large.... they're supposed to be pre-shrunk, but we're finding that the clothes dryer will probably reduce it about a full size.

2. Yes, I am interested in upgrading, but as you can tell, I am a World-Class procrastinator. Money isn't really an issue anyways, but I'm always leery of creating possible database issues where there are currently NONE. I'm chicken, I guess, is what I'm trying to say.
I have nothing against VBulletin, but to be honest, phpBB seems pretty nice, too. For instance, this board: http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/index.php
The newest versions of UBB just sort of LOOK funny, so I'm not as high on UBB as I once was.

1. Sweet. Hold a Large for me. E-mail me your address again, please. I seem to have deleted the one you sent me for the LeMans donations. Use the address from my previous post. Scratch that, I found the e-mail. You haven't moved since May 23rd, have you?

2. Yeah... phpBB is pretty nice... honestly, I think it's just as good as vB (vBulletin). The main reason I recommend vB over phpBB, though, is that if you install vB, there's a file that allows you to import UBB forums. You install the vB software, configure it, run the import tool, and it moves everything into the vB system - forums, threads, posts, members, EVERYTHING. The Quake forum I used to call home did this a few years back... maybe I could ask a favor and one of those guys could even set it up for us or something... Lemme know what you think, whether you wanna do it or not... just seems more and more lately, people are missing the features the newer board systems use (STICKIES!!)...
