Sorry NC1, you'll have to invent a faster time than that if you're gonna beat Dango and WasteGate

Psy, one of your two links was broken, but this one should work.

Round 3 Updated

Thanks for the praise Dango, it feels great coming from someone as quick as you. This GT40 seems to suit my driving style as well as being too fast for the Touring Cars.

For next series (!) I would suggest dropping the GT cars and keeping the Astra, CLK, Calibra and the Falcon as they all seem pretty close to each other on performance.

Sorry for the no-show chaps - tho' I'm upset that noone even commented (LOL).

The New Year celebrations went on for a little bit longer than anticipated - to the extent that I only got home last night :O.

I'll try my hardest to make the last race so it doesn't appear to future results readers that I just petulantly slunk away into the night 'cos I wasn't winning .

Welcome back, Sukerkin, and a Happy New Year! I was hoping you'd stay away a couple more days to protect my 'top half of the table' ranking ... though it looks like you'll need a win in order to push me out, assuming, that is, I ever manage a full set of clean laps of AH against the slab cars! But I like my Astra for this course - my first dirty run produced a photo finish with the 787B.

Sukerkin, you really know how to celebrate New Year! Was it a seven-day party thing or did you get so drunk it took 6 days to get over it?

Anyways, I missed you. I was hoping to beat that puny little CLK of yours with my beast of a Taxi.

[edit] I have a rules question. Shouldn't everyone be disqualified from Round 3 at Seattle for not having at least two wheels on the tarmac? My spies hiding in a building on the run up the hill saw everybody with all 4 wheels off, and above the track.

A better question would be is "Do you remember anything from your holiday?" Don't miss the next one you slaker.j/k

AS for Wastegates question. This has been addressed in other series and has been determined that 4 wheels off but above the track IS allowed.

Yes definitely yes. Everyone should be DQed. Personally I never got going fast enoug to get all four tires in the air, but I was DQed for other reasons, and misery loves company.

Cheers P2 and the same to you sir {raises glass with a few dregs of Laphroaig still left in the bottom}. I think your position is safe my friend ... the days are gone when you could miss a race of an OLR series and still be in the running I think.

Thank you . Just keeping the British end up don't you know . It was kind of a rolling party where we'd descend on someones house (hopefully someone we knew of course :O) drink it dry, replenish the stocks, move on ... etc etc.

Remember, I only picked it because I hadn't used it much ...I already knew it wouldn't make the grade but I didn't want to use the Jag again and wasn't allowed to use the Speed 12 ... what I didn't expect was for everyone to go power mad and use the GT40 :cries:

Also, I'm glad to have missed the last one if it would have meant being beaten by Joe Le Taxi (unless Vanessa Paradis was driving I guess ).

I remember more than I deserve to but I do {shamefacedly} have to admit to having had to be carried from one venue to the next on New Years Eve/Day because my legs had stopped behaving in anything like a recognisably human manner :O

As to the next race, I'll do my very best to be back home and sober enough to run it on Saturday night.

Don't hold your breath waiting for something from me 'Psy - I didn't get chance to run this as I'm afraid GT3 came off worst in terms of prioritisation of time this weekend.

A couple who're friends of mine had a rather dreadful occurrence (about the worst I should think parents have to face) and needed a bit of emotional support.

Sorry to hear it Sukerkin. I didn't really want you to miss the race - and certainly not because of any circumstance like that. But fwiw I think you did the right thing.

Had I read that yesterday morning, I might have given it a shot. I just never got the time before the deadline.

(Translation: I procrastinated until it was too late.)

Yes, I found a short cut from the back of the course to the home straight. I lapped the AIs 4 & 5 times.

OOPS, I must have typed in my Trial Mountain time instead of my Apricot time. I was in a bit of a rush.

Let's try this:
