Eligible Cars:

They’re small. They’re quick. They’re nimble. They’re strong. They’re powerful. But most of all, they’re fun. This is the GTRC XC Class. Will this be one of the toughest divisions? The cars are pretty evenly matched, so it very well could be. Whether on pavement or on dirt, we won’t know who wins this one till the dust settles!
Teams must choose a car from their chosen Continental Group. Once a team enters a car in a GTRC event, they may not change to a different car. Both drivers on a team must drive the same car in their respective class.

Here are the eligible XC Class choices:

Asia-Pacific “A” Group:
Toyota Celica Rally
Toyota Corolla Rally
Subaru Impreza Rally
Subaru Impreza Prototype Rally

Asia-Pacific “B” Group:
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI Rally
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII Prototype Rally

European Group:
Peugeot 206 Rally
Citroen Xsara Rally
Lancia Delta HF Integrale Rally

North American Group:
Ford Escort Rally
Ford Focus Rally

If the car is NOT on the list, it is considered ineligible. This list was compiled from an NTSC version of the game. If there are discrepancies with the conversion to PAL, please e-mail the Administrator to get things sorted.

 RACE METHOD:

Practice and Qualifying is done in Arcade Mode, Free Run, and is unlimited. Your fastest lap done in Free Run should be considered your Qualifying Lap. You must race on Racing Slicks (T3) for Midfield II and Apricot Hill.

For SSR11, Cote D'Azur, and Tokyo R246, your tire choice for practice, qualifying, and racing is unlimited. For Tire Testing, go to Simulation Mode, Amateur League, GT World Championship, and race at the appropriate track for the week. This will be a 5 Lap Race with tire wear. You may repeat this test as many times as you'd like, but at no time may you run more than 5 race laps in a row. For Cote D'Azur, go to Simulation Mode, Professional League, All Japan GT Championship, select Cote D'Azur, then go to Qualifying. You may run no more than 5 laps in a row in this qualifying mode, but you may repeat it as many times as you'd like. After the 5th lap, you must Exit and re-enter.

The race will be run at the specified event in Simulation Mode or Arcade Mode. ONLY ONE ATTEMPT AT THE RACE IS ALLOWED. Start from the back of the grid, NO QUALIFYING IN SIMULATION MODE. If you crash, spin, miss your pit stop, or suffer any other sort of calamity, DO NOT RE-START. You may PAUSE your race, to take care of real-life events (like let the dog out before he pees on the rug, or stop your child from turning off the television), but there are no second chances.

For the XC class, when on a Dirt Track, we will race BOTH the forward direction and the ‘Reverse’ direction during the same race. The times will be added together for your total race time. Race both races BACK-TO-BACK. In other words, get all of your practicing for BOTH tracks done in advance, then go to Sim Mode and run both races. Your fastest lap in the FORWARD direction in practice will be your Qualifying Lap.

Submit your times, including Driver Name, Car Driven, Track Driven, Race Number, Qualifying Lap Time, and Total Race Time using the specified form. If you have problem with the form, please e-mail your results to the Admin at gb24hours@granturismobynumbers.com

Always, always, always save the replays of your Qualifying Lap (with ghost!), and your Total race.
